Winter time at Kennington Reservoir

Regular sightings of the native duck species Australian Wood Duck and Pacific Black Duck can occur year round at this reservoir which is located in Bendigo.

Each Winter the area is visited by other species and right now we have at least 4 Hardhead's visitng along with a couple of Grey Teal.

This Hardhead has learned from the local ducks that humans standing on the shoreline means a free (bad for them) feed of bread and it hurried over to my location from near the centre of the reservoir.
